Established in 1986, as a result of a cooperative effort to consolidate two existing Watertown hospitals, Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has evolved into a regional healthcare center. At the heart of this organization is Prairie Lakes Hospital, an 81-bed, non-denominational healthcare facility.
Each spacious, all-private room at Prairie Lakes Hospital has a large window and television set. Because family members and caregivers are essential in the continuum of patient care, guest beds are available for comfortable overnight stays.
Each of the eight patient rooms in the Critical Care Unit is large enough to accommodate portable X-ray and other diagnostic equipment. The unit also features the most advanced monitoring system available. All nurses in the Critical Care Unit have had extensive training in caring for the critically ill or injured patient.
