  1. CT TECHNOLOGIST
    STATUS: 1.0
    SHIFT: Rotating with Weekends and Call
    DEPARTMENT: Radiology

    DUTIES: Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) and/or radiology exams under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the technical direction of the radiologist. Operates (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patient's body for diagnostic purposes to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Shares call responsibility. Performs related work as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS: Holds or is eligible for certification by the ARRT in Computer Tomography. Previous experience in the field desirable. Experience in Nuclear Med, MRI, US or radiology preferred.

  2. ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY (RDCS) VASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST (RVT)
    STATUS: PRN – Relief
    SHIFT: M-F and call on weeknights and weekends
    DEPARTMENT: Radiology

    DUTIES: Will perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams. Performs related work as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of two years of training in AMA approved school of ultrasound echocardiography/vascular technology. Registry eligible by ARDMS in RVT RDCS. Preference will be given to applicants with Abd/OB/GYN Ultrasound experience.

  3. PHLEBOTOMIST
    STATUS: Part-Time (.5)
    DEPARTMENT: Laboratory

    POSITION SUMMARY: Performs venous and capillary blood collection from patients (neonates to geriatric), transports specimens, and performs basic clerical test and data entry functions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Collects and transports venous and capillary blood specimens, determines specimen acceptability and prepares specimens for technical analysis. Performs basic demographic and test ordering functions on outpatients and marketing patients entering referral lab test results. Performs and reports waived testing under technical supervision. Performs basic office functions: answering telephones, maintaining stock, ordering office/paper supplies, maintains and orders phlebotomy supplies. Relays verbal and written information to authorized individuals. Performs and documents all assigned preventive maintenance and safety functions. Administers TB and other intradermal skin tests. Assists with orientation of new staff and students. Assists in identifying Quality Improvement (QI) indicators and data gathering. Other duties may be assigned.

    Education and/or Experience
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Nine month medical assistant program preferred. Previous phlebotomy experience preferred. Valid South Dakota driver’s license required.

  4. RADIATION THERAPIST
    STATUS: .5 - 1.0 (Part-time/Full-time)
    DUTIES: Provides radiation therapy services by contributing as an essential member of the radiation oncology treatment team through provision of total quality care of each patient undergoing a prescribed course of treatment. Performs radiation therapy procedures and simulations on all patients served to include adult and geriatric patients. Knowledge in physics, math, radiobiology, nursing, and patient care skills needed. Must have a stable, self-assured personality and display attributes of compassion, concern, and courtesy in meeting the needs of the oncology patient. Maintains a team approach toward patient care. Must have the ability to communicate & work with hospital personnel, patients, families, physicians and the general public. Addresses special needs of patients, families, and staff. This position could include various shifts fox x-ray, ultrasound, CT and/or echocardiography.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Board eligible or board certified. Registered Radiation Therapist. CPR required. X-ray, ultrasound, CT and/or echocardiography experience preferred, but not required.

  5. REGISTERED NURSE - CCU
    POSITION OPEN: Registered Nurse
    STATUS: Full -Time – (.9)
    Every other Weekend/3 holidays
    DEPARTMENT: CCU

    DUTIES: Responsible for the delivery of total patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Will be expected to perform charge work duties. Maintains standards of professional nursing. Performs related work duties as required. Will be required to take patient assignments in other nursing units as directed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an approved school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of South Dakota or eligible for licensure. One to two years of nursing experience is required. One to two years of CCU experience is preferred. Applicants with ACLS certification preferred or will be necessary to attain. Certification in CPR required.

  6. REGISTERED NURSE - HOME HEALTH/HOSPICE
    Two Positions
    STATUS: Part-Time .5
    DEPARTMENT: Home Health/Hospice

    DUTIES: Performs assessment visit for patient referral. Determines eligibility. Initiates and carries out plan of treatment. Performs skilled nursing functions as assigned in home setting. Documents using proper format and acceptable Home Care standards.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: RN graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Currently licensed in the State of South Dakota or eligible for licensure in the State of South Dakota. Possesses a good driving record and current South Dakota driver’s license. One year general medical/surgical nursing required.

  7. SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST
    STATUS: Full time (.8)
    SHIFT: Days with call
    DEPARTMENT: Surgical Services

    DUTIES: Responsible for first scrubbing for all types of OR procedures and any duties that are included in that position. Will be required to take call and work rotations. Performs other related duties as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an approved Operating Room Technologist program. Preference will be given to candidates that have OR experience. Currently certified or eligible for certification as a surgical technologist.

  8. ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST
    DEPARTMENT: Radiology
    STATUS: Relief
    POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the technical direction of the radiologist. Produces two or three-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by Physician in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs. Keys test data and patient information into computer of ultrasound equipment to maintain record of test results. Operates the department computer system for scheduling and billing procedures. Operates PACS system to ensure all images are verified and sent. Starts IV’s and administers IV contrast and/or medication when patient requires medication. Shares call responsibilities in Ultrasound. Maintains supply inventory. Reports equipment malfunction to the Radiology Director, and reports safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or equivalent from AMA approved ultrasound technology school. Holds or is eligible for certification by the ARDMS or RDCS.
