Cardiologists
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is currently looking for two motivated and self-directed cardiologists to join our active medical staff in Watertown, South Dakota.
These cardiology physicians have many options in Watertown regarding their practice opportunities. Two clinics, both with great medical staff, as well as a new medical office building adjacent to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System, all serve as practice location options.
The cardiologists that are engaged in this endeavor will be at the helm in creating the cardiology program in Watertown. Information regarding equipment, staffing and other issues will be made by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare System administration with prominent input from the cardiologists.
Our compensation package is very flexible and can be tailored to the individual physician depending on his/her financial needs. An income guarantee agreement for one year, a loan forgiveness agreement (period of years is reflective of the dollar amount), and/ or a student loan repayment agreement are all options for this financial package. Regardless of the type of arrangement, Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is competitive with similar markets of this size.
Market position is another huge advantage the cardiologists will benefit from. Currently, the market for cardiology patients is here. The competition for these patients is about a 100-mile radius. A marketing plan will be developed by the Marketing Department at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System to ensure proper exposure is reached and maintained.

Otolaryngologist
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is curerntly looking to add an otolaryngologist to the active medical staff in Watertown, South Dakota.
This physician could be located in a clinic at Prairie Lakes Hospital or be a partner with an established ENT. He/She could be an independent physician, supported by a healthy income guarantee for the first year or be employed by Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. Call would be 1:2.
The hospital is an 81-bed private, not-for-profit hospital and is the only hospital in the community. The OR has five spacious operating rooms with the ability to work with three MDAs and five CRNAs for surgery. There is also an off-campus Same Day Surgery Center. There are approximately 57 physicians on the active medical staff.
The compensation package is very flexible and can be tailored to the individual physician depending on his/her financial needs. Regardless of the type of financial arrangements, Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is competitive and our offer reflects MGMA figures.

Medical Oncologist Prairie Lakes Healthcare System (PLHS)is currently looking to add 1 medical oncologist to the active medical staff in Watertown, SD. This physician would practice at the Prairie Lakes Cancer Center, on the campus of PLHS, and join a radiation oncologist and a medical oncologist. The Cancer Center provides comprehensive medical and radiation oncology, mobile PET scanning services, and a full-spectrum of oncology infusion services.
