OLYMPIC RUNNER TO HEADLINE HEART EVENT

In the spirit of the Olympics, Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is excited to announce that Olympic runner, Carrie Tollefson, will headline its annual Ladies Night Out Heart Event. Prairie Lakes encourages interested attendees to save the date of Friday, February 1, 2013 and watch for more information on the event to be released this Fall.
Tollefson, a Dawson, Minn. native, participated in the 1500m run at the 2004 Olympics held in Athens, Greece. She qualified for the event by finishing first at the 2004 US Olympic Trials. Other titles held by Tollefson include 2006 US National Indoor Champion, 3000m; 2006 US National Cross Country Champion, 4km; and 5-time NCAA Champion. Tollefson is a commentator for many national events, holds an annual training camp for runners, and hosts a weekly running and fitness webcast that can be watched at www.ctollerun.com.
The Heart Event will also feature free health screenings including cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen level, and BMI; an open forum where the Prairie Lakes cardiologists with answer attendee questions; health information booths; door prizes; and more.
Prairie Lakes’ Ladies Night Out takes place at the Watertown Event Center. A schedule of events and RSVP information will be released at a later date.
