GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP BEGINS IN OCTOBER POSTED: SEP 24, 2012 Prairie Lakes Healthcare System will host a free five-week Bereavement Support Group series beginning Monday, Oct. 1 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. The group will meet weekly thereafter on Mondays, Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29. The series is designed to help adults who have lost a loved one understand the process of grieving, gain interpersonal insights, and offer support. The group also allows participants an informal setting in which to meet other people who are coping with the loss of a loved one. A Prairie Lakes Pastoral Care representative or social worker will lead each group. Under supportive guidance participants are encouraged to share feelings, questions and concerns as they work through the normal grief process. The group will meet in the North Conference Room at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown. There is no charge to attend these sessions. Pre-registration is required.
