PRAIRIE LAKES NAMES MED/SURG/PEDS DIRECTOR POSTED: OCT 02, 2012 Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has named Josie Ries, RN, director of the medical, surgical, and pediatric (MSP) inpatient unit. Ries will oversee day-day operations of the unit including patient care, staffing and budgeting. Ries has worked at Prairie Lakes since 2002. Most recently, she served Prairie Lakes as a house supervisor and a MSP resource nurse. Prior to that, she worked as a nurse in the Prairie Lakes critical care unit. Ries has also worked as a staff nurse for Universal Pediatrics and was a member of the South Dakota Army National Guard where she completed a 16 month deployment to Kuwait and Iraq.
