HOSPICE VOLUNTEER TRAINING SET FOR OCTOBER 27 POSTED: OCT 18, 2012 Prairie Lakes Hospice welcomes all interested persons to learn more about becoming a Hospice volunteer on Saturday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trained Hospice volunteers provide various services for Hospice patients and their families. Services might include companionship, friendly visits, letter writing, meal preparation, reading, or spiritual care. Some volunteers choose to assist staff with clerical help, craft projects, or phone calls. Hospice matches the volunteer’s needs, experience, and talents with the most appropriate position. Hospice Volunteer Training will take place in the Medical Office Building Conference Center on the Prairie Lakes Hospital Campus. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
