PRAIRIE LAKES TO HOST CHILDREN’S REMEMBRANCE SERVICE POSTED: NOV 20, 2012 The Pastoral Care and Hospice Departments of Prairie Lakes Healthcare System will hold a Children’s Remembrance Service on Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. at the Prairie Lakes Hospital Chapel. Sandy Ellyson, RN and infant loss coordinator for Prairie Lakes, will speak at the service. This memorial service is held annually for anyone who has lost a child of any age. It provides an opportunity for families to process, express and heal from their grief. During the service each family will be given a Christmas tree ornament as a memento of their child. As the name of the child is read a family member will have an opportunity to light a candle in memory of their child. Following the service there will be a reception allowing time for families to share fellowship and refreshments.
