PRAIRIE LAKES WELCOMES TWO HOSPITALISTS POSTED: FEB 27, 2013 Dr. Steven Feeney and Dr. Thomas Lechner have joined the staff at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown. As hospitalists, Dr. Feeney and Dr. Lechner specialize in providing comprehensive care to patients in the hospital. Dr. Feeney completed medical school at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, S.D. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Royal C. Johnson VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Dr. Feeney is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Lechner completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota School of Family Practice and Community Medicine in Minneapolis, Minn. The Prairie Lakes Hospitalists program provides 24-hour-a-day doctor coverage to patients in the hospital. Hospitalists admit patients, make daily rounds, talk with patients about care, and write orders to guide care.
