How to Become a Volunteer
Volunteer applicants will meet with a Prairie Lakes volunteer coordinator. All necessary paperwork will be reviewed and completed. Volunteers must agree to adhere to a strict confidentiality policy. Placement decisions in available areas will take into consideration your desires, interests, skill set and personality.
Trained Hospice volunteers provide various services for Hospice patients and their families. Services might include companionship, friendly visits, letter writing, meal preparation, reading or spiritual care. Some volunteers choose to assist staff with clerical help, craft projects, or phone calls. Hospice matches the volunteers needs, experience, and talents with the postion for him or her.
