HeartCode® ACLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Advance Cardiac Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Advanced Cardiac Life Support training for their clinical duties. HeartCode® ACLS Online consists of a cognitive portion that is completed online.

Please utilize either Chrome or Mozilla Firefox  Browser   (Internet Explorer frequentlly has difficulties loading and running AHA programs). 

HeartCode® ACLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real-time to a learner’s performance.

The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Advanced Cardiac Life Support training for their clinical duties. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities, illustrations, knowledge checks, and interactive activities, this program teaches ACLS knowledge and skills.

This method of learning provides training consistency and adaptability to different learning styles. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each knowledge check and each Cognitive Assessment Activity.

Students who successfully complete the cognitive portion and the hands-on session (skills) will receive an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

**Must Know COVID-19  PPE information related to your session!**

PLHS employees will be issued a course key to access the online portion after completing your online registration on Extranet; you will receive an email from "elearning.heart.org" with the link and course key information.

 Non-Employees will need to go to purchase Heartcode ACLS Online course key to access the online portion.     elearning.heart.org/course/438  

Non-Employees must bring copy of current BLS card along with individuals Heartcode Certificate of completion of online learning.  

Important: You must complete the online portion first then must print the certificate of completion at the end of the online portion. You will need to give this to your instructor when you attend the skills validation portion. It is necessary to show that you completed the online portion. If you do not have your certificate of completion, you will not be able to complete the skills practice and testing of the course.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please inform the instructors when you arrive for the session. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.

In the event that you are unable to attend, a courtesy call is appreciated.
