Meet the Sports Medicine Team

A local team of specialists working together to help athletes and physically active individuals reach their goals.

Athletic Trainers

Jeff Haufschild and Michelle Leitheiser

Jeff Haufschild and Michelle Leitheiser, both Athletic Trainers, serve Arrow athletes full time to reduce the risk of injury. They are supported by Physical Therapists at Prairie Lakes. These team members empower and support athletes at local games and events.

They also host a free Young Athletes Clinic weekly on Wednesdays, 7:30 am – 8:15 am in the gym at Watertown Middle School. Elementary through high school-aged students can receive a free athletic screening for orthopedic injuries or concerns, parents or guardians simply walk in with their child during the clinic hours. Severe sports injuries, such as a head injury or bone fracture, should be seen by the ER immediately. Physical Therapists

Physical Therapy focuses on the development of gross motor skills, functional mobility, strength and balance. In addition to seeing patients for those needs, our Physical Therapists are specialized in areas such as orthopedics, personalized blood flow restriction, vestibular rehab, aquatic therapy, and pain science.

Orthopedic Physicians

Orthopedic physicians specialize in correcting musculoskeletal problems that result from trauma, sports injuries, disease, tumors or congenital disorders including ACL injury, overuse injuries, and fractures. Orthopedic specialists in the region include Prairie Lakes Orthopedics in Watertown. Located in the Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinic, Prairie Lakes Orthopedics shares the lower level with Prairie Lakes Rehabilitation Services to improve access for patients.
