Occupational Therapy

Michelle Stark, OT with patient Beth

When disability is the result of an accident, injury or illness, occupational therapists can assist with recovery. Occupational therapy can help individuals of all ages to improve or regain the skills they require for completing their daily activities or "occupations." These occupations include self cares, work/productive tasks and leisure skills.

Occupational therapists develop individualized treatment plans to help increase strength, endurance and independence in activities of daily living. Occupational therapy services include hand therapy, cognitive retraining, geriatric rehabilitation, activities of daily living retraining and home care.

An occupational therapist will assist you in modifying your physical environment and/or your activities as well as train you to use adoptive equipment in order to increase your independence and quality of life. To schedule an appointment please call 605-882-7700.
