Prairie Lakes Healthcare System provides patients access to specific health information through the online Prairie Lakes Patient Portal. You can view specific medical records and pay your bill.

Do I need special equipment?
No. All you need is access to a computer, an email account that matches the one provided during registration, and an internet connection.

Can my family/friends access the information found on my portal?
Yes, but only if you give them permission. As a Prairie Lakes patient, you may choose to give an authorized representative.

Who should I contact if I have trouble logging in or accessing the Prairie Lakes patient portal?
You may reach staff at 605-882-7620 or toll-free at 855-215-5323 during normal business hours if you are having any troubles with your online patient portal or to provide an email address after discharge. When you call this help number please leave a voicemail with name and phone number and a member of the Prairie Lakes staff will return your call.

Will I receive emails after each admission to the hospital?
No. Once the initial email has been sent, you or an authorized representative will not be sent new emails with each visit. You may access the Patient Portal at any time to view your medical information and pay your bills.  

My records don’t appear to be complete. What should I do?
An interdisciplinary team works together to deliver your care. Think back to your stay, did you see a provider who you typically see at a different facility? If so, your records and billing will likely come from that provider. Furthermore, viewing notes and paying for bill from our physician services are available through a different login.

If you are looking for specific medical records information that you are not finding on either account, you can request your medical record information from our Health Information Department at 605-882-6717 during normal business hours.

Why doesn’t the balance in the Bill Pay section match my most recent statement? 
The portal balance is real time, and reflects the latest transactions posted. Statement balances may be less recent, and may not reflect new visits or payments that have been received.
