At Prairie Lakes Healthcare System, our volunteers play an important role in helping us deliver the best patient experience for those visiting our facilities.
This afternoon, our PLHS volunteers were invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Brunch in the MOB. Attendees were treated to a delicious spread of brunch favorites, they won door prizes, and they were joined by PLHS Leadership along with various board members. The work our PLHS volunteers do is incredible and the impact they leave can be felt throughout the healthcare system.
Volunteers by the Numbers:
- 11,529 total volunteer hours clocked in 2024
- 392 combined years of volunteer service
- 52 volunteers currently donating their precious time
- 8 PLHS departments have volunteers filling vital roles: Home Health/Hospice, Pastoral Care, Information Desk, Gift Shop, Same Day Surgery, Cancer Center, Caring Club House, and Vascular Clinic.
- 1 volunteer was gifted a pin at the Volunteer Appreciation Brunch to commemorate 25 years of serving Home Health/Hospice patients
April 21 through April 27 is Volunteer Appreciation Week! Be sure to thank our volunteers for the work they do all the time, but especially now as we honor them for all they do for Prairie Lakes!
